On 28th February 1972, His Holiness Swami Hariharji Maharaj laid the foundation stone for the Geeta Ashram in Kuala Lumpur, marking it as the first overseas branch of the Ashram outside India. Swamiji envisioned the Ashram as a beacon for spiritual growth, inspiring other branches worldwide.
The Ashram’s membership has grown to over 300, and its activities continue to expand, welcoming both members and visitors alike. A significant part of this journey includes the dedication of Guru Maa Geeteshwari Ji, who has served the teachings of Swamiji since 1977. After receiving Diksha during the 3rd International Geeta Conference, she became a key figure in spreading the wisdom of the Geeta. Her devotion earned her the title of Guru Maa, and she continues to carry out Swamiji’s vision, touching lives through the teachings of the Geeta.
